When I was contacted by Sourcebooks for a review request and possible tour stop for Christy English I happily said yes. This is one of the authors whose work I have enjoyed in the past, having read The Queen’s Pawn and Much Ado About Jack.
The folks over at Sourcebooks have provided me with some fantastic books throughout my book blogging years and I was tickled pink to hear from them again.
My review for How to Seduce a Scot , which I enjoyed very much, will be up shortly.
In the meantime…onto the tour post and read on for how to enter to win a copy of the book…

Summary
He’s the terror of the ton…
The plan is simple:
1. Descend from the Highlands to face the aggravation of a London Season;
2. Foist his wild sister off on some gullible English lord;
3. Retreat before the ladies of the scandalized ton can get any ideas.
Determined to see his hellion of a sister wed, Highlander Alexander Waters is willing to face anything—even the English. He just didn’t expect his own rough manners to cause such a riot…or for a blooming English rose to catch his eye.
Gently bred Catherine Middlebrook must find a respectable man to marry or her family will be ruined. She won’t allow herself to be distracted by Highland barbarians…no matter how her body may thrill whenever Alex is near.
Catherine wasn’t part of the plan, but as their battle of wills escalates, Alex comes to realize this “proper” English girl is as wild as the Highlands themselves…and nothing will stop him from having her.

Exclusive Snippet
Alex crossed the music room in three long strides and his lips were on hers in the next instant. He had to bend down to kiss her, for he was almost a foot taller than she was. Before she met him, she would have thought such an arrangement inconvenient at best, but he curled around her, succoring her, protecting her from everything in the world but himself. He smelled delicious as he always did, and his lips tasted of cider. She wondered where he had been before he came to her house. But then his tongue asked hers to dance, and all her thoughts fled, save for how he felt against her.

Hi Naida,
Historical romance isn’t a genre I read on too regular a basis, although I do enjoy indulging every once in a while and I am always on the lookout for new authors and books to try.
I had fun checking out the extensive range of authors Sourcebooks have signed up and was impressed by the fact that they had been around since the late 1980s.
The reviews and ratings for this author have been a little mixed to say the least and Christy’s readers either seem to love or hate her stories.
I shall definitely be considering this reader and publisher for the future, thanks for the feature 🙂

Hi Yvonne. I do enjoy this genre myself, it’s one of the first I read as a young adult. I do love Sourcebooks, and have worked with them for years s part of book tours and reviewing goes. I have read Christy English before and I enjoyed The Queens Pawn very much, so I looked forward to reading this one too.
Happy weekend and thanks for your thoughtful comments as always 🙂
