Sunday Post: Bon Jovi, books and crochet

sundaypost
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog…

Happy Sunday everyone. It is hard to believe that December is around the corner. I hope all of you who celebrate had a Happy Thanksgiving this past week. I had a lovely one here with my family and I count my blessings every day for them.
This weekend was spent mainly relaxing and watching the Gilmore Girls revival while crocheting. It was nice seeing the cast back together again and these new episodes were fun to watch. Nostalgic.

On a reading front, this week I finished up A Week to be Wicked by Tessa Dare which was fun regency romance. Also, author Tessa Dare followed me back on Twitter so *yay*.

Next I’ll be reading All I Want for Christmas: A feel good Christmas romance to warm your heart by Jenny Hale.

On a different note, while I was getting caught up online today and doing some blog hopping I had my Bon Jovi playlist going on in the background. Music is such a part of my everyday, it always has been. I usually have music playing while doing everyday things like housework or driving. One of the first things I do when I log onto the computer is put on a playlist for background music as I browse. Today it was my favorite Jersey boys Bon Jovi, whose music I have loved since I was a young teen. With lyrics like “Shot through the heart ..And you’re to blame, you give love a bad name…” what’s not to love? I’ll close with a favorite.

Enjoy your Sunday.

  1. Hi Naida,

I don’t think the Gilmore Girls have made it as far as the UK, at least I can’t recall ever seeing it advertised.

Bon Jovi is probably more my brother’s era than mine, as he is a few years younger than me. However I have always enjoyed listening to their music, even though I don’t generally put music on in the house, only when I am out in the car. As with my reading, I have quite eclectic tastes in music, depending on my mood.

I am pleased that you enjoyed a family Thanksgiving and I hope that you like your Christmas reading this week 🙂

  2. Happy Sunday, Naida! I have never watched The Gilmore Girls but I’m sure it is an entertaining show. (I heard the show was sometimes filmed at my college, Scripps.) I hope you had a terrific Thanksgiving weekend!

  3. Oh I will have to check out that Tessa Dare book! Sounds good! I have never seen the Gilmore girls. Most of my friends think I am nuts for this, but I just never got into in when it was on TV, and now, I really don’t watch any tv!

  4. Happy Thanksgiving! It sounds like you had a nice Holiday. I can’t believe December is almost here too. It seems too soon! I can’t wait to read All I Want For Christmas. I’m so ready for a Christmas book. I like Bon Jovi too.

Take care, Naida. Have a great week!

    • Hi Brian. Yes it’s nice to see groups like Bon Jovi and Aerosmith still together and active. My favs GunsnRoses unfortunately broke up but I still listen to and enjoy those songs. Happy week.
