Hello everyone, December is here! I hope you are all doing well. How is your holiday season going? I hope it is as relaxing and as stress free as possible. It’s easy to get overwhelmed this time of year. I found an article online about the holiday blues if anyone is interested. It has some good tips, especially I think it is important “learn to say no” with over scheduling yourself and trying to do it all, it can get really hard. As for myself, I also find it is important is not to give in to the commercialism of it all. That can be very stressful if  you let it.

Also, do you see snow falling on my blog? I don’t know how that’s happening, but okay …lol. I must have something set up without realizing it. Well, I figured I’d combine MM and The Sunday Post this morning so onto my mailbox….

I received a copy of No-one Ever Has Sex on Christmas Day via NetGalley and I’m hoping to get to that one this month, it looks like fun.

I also received Lalylala’s Beetles Bugs and Butterflies: A Crochet Story of Tiny Creatures and Big Dreams and Dumpling Cats from NetGalley. How cute are these? I figure I’ll get to these after December because I like to crochet something from the pattern books I review, this way I get a feel for the patterns.
 

LibraryThing sent a copy of Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan which is part of a series but I’m hoping it will do well as a stand alone.

Blogging/reading wise, I’m backed up and still haven’t reviewed Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, but I will get to it soon I hope. I am in the middle of Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter which is fantastic so far, it is a long one at 573 pages but it reads quickly and I am enjoying it. I received this book from the publisher I think it was last year or so and I’ve been meaning to get to it for a while. There are disappearances, estranged sisters, murders and hidden secrets among a few other plot twists and I’ve been late into the night reading it this week.

Crochet-wise I whipped up a few Christmasey things like these potholders and ornament cozies. I gave a few to my mom on Thanksgiving.

And last but not least, I got to see the NY Knicks play against the Miami Heat this past week at the Garden. Our seats were amazing and we went as a family and what a fantastic way to round off the year, thank you so very much. Hubby got me into the Knicks way back in the 90’s when Ewing and Starks were on the team and we haven’t been to an actual Knicks game for many years, like over a decade. This was our first time going together as a family so it was pretty awesome.
