Happy Sunday and Happy March everyone. I sound like a broken record, but what a hectic week. More late nights at the office have had me mentally exhausted and it will continue through the end of March. Plus we had more snow, icy rain and strong winds to start this weekend off with. We are expecting more snow this week again. The good thing is, it warms up soon after so the snow melts faster. I officially need to be on a tropical island sipping a Piña Colada while wearing a bathing suit and a sarong and reading a good book while I’m laid out on a comfy beach chair under a palm tree facing the beautiful blue ocean with my crochet project at my side as well. Can that detailed scenario happen soon please?

Anyway, onto my mailbox:

I received an ARC of Close to Home by Cara Hunter via First To Read. It sounds intense.

Currently reading:

Thirsty: An Eastside Brewery Novel by Mia Hopkins is my next read. I have a feeling I will breeze right through this one. The author followed me on Twitter this week, I love when that happens.

Coming up this week:

I finished reading Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase this morning and I will be sharing my thoughts on this one soon. I loved it! Historical romance at its best.

On the blog this past week:

I signed up for the Take Control of Your TBR Pile Challenge March 2018 for this month and hope to read at least 2 books that have been sitting on Mount TBR for way too long.

Watched:
The Walking Dead came back last week and I cried a little. I just love Rick’s character and the twists and turns his story has taken. Andrew Lincoln is a great actor for this role. And as much as I like Negan, he’s a great baddie, he needs to go. Speaking of Lincoln, I finally watched the film Lincoln. It is based on my favorite president, I don’t know what took me so long to watch this one. Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing in it.

Crocheting:

I finished up this pooled cowl recently, Yvonne was asking to see this one. I have a slight obsession with color pooling.

I’ve been making so many things lately and using up my yarn because my goal is to re-open my Etsy shop this year. I want to get a good amount of inventory going first and it does take time. The blankets I make and show here on my blog are for home or friends and family, so on my shop they will be listed as “made to order” items. This way I don’t have a bunch of blankets worked up with no place to go if they don’t sell plus they take the longest time to make. I also want to make a few infinity scarves and shawls. I haven’t started any toy inventory yet, I’m thinking small bears and things like that. My new shop name is going to be Crochet NJ inspired by the Garden State since I’m a Jersey girl 🙂

I am also still working on my neon stripes blanket and am almost finished. I have loved working on this project, the bright colors just make me happy. I will share the finished pic in a few weeks.
