September has arrived so fast it seems and I am not ready to say goodbye to summer yet. Labor Day is here in the U.S. already and it’s nice to have a long 3 day weekend. I really love lazy summer days and quiet summer evenings, I have more energy during this time of year. Well, it’s not quite over just yet so I will definitely be hanging onto summer as long as I can. I enjoy the Fall season too but there is something special about the summer months.

One thing I am dreading about September being here is my morning work commute on Tuesday since schools are back in so I’m back to my 45+ minute drive due to traffic jams. During the off school months it’s just a 20 minute drive. *sigh* I am going to have to start listening to audio books in my car in the mornings, I need to download the app and hook it up to my bluetooth.

Onto my mailbox…

The Guilty Dead arrived via Meryl Moss Media. This is part of a series and I’m hoping it does well as a stand-alone. I’ve read alot of thrillers this summer.

My thoughts on my re-read of Needful Things by Stephen King will be up soon. I started re-reading this one in May and have been on and off again with it in between other books. This has really been my summer long read.

Reading now: Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks

Here I go again with the re-reading, but I couldn’t help myself and this seemed like the perfect end of summer read. It’s a quick and easy read. Theresa has found the first message and has published it in her column already….

Watching:

My daughter and I have been on a Pride & Prejudice kick lately so we watched the 2005 film and are halfway through the BBC version. She thinks the BBC Darcy is best. I don’t know, I like them both. I am just happy she is finally watching P&P with me.

I’ll close with pictures of a sunflower field we visited recently, it was a nice day trip. They are my second favorite flowers next to my favorite pink roses.
