Good morning everyone and happy Sunday. I’ve been a little bit MIA on blogland lately, I hope to catch up and do some blog visiting this week. I have missed you guys. I also need to catch up on my emails. I am kind of afraid to look, that’s how backed up I am on reading and replying.

It started with a nasty head cold last weekend that had me in bed home sick from work by Tuesday. I’m feeling better but still not 100%. Sitting in a very air-conditioned office all day does not help one’s cold at all. Plus yesterday I got stuck working a full day 9am-5pm overtime so that has me behind with errands etc. since Saturday’s are usually my day for that. Today is my one day off this week.

It has been so rainy here these few weeks but finally this weekend is gorgeous, sunny with the temps just right about high 70’s to 80 degrees. I haven’t decided what I will do today since it is so nice out, I may leave my grocery shopping for tomorrow after work and take a nice drive out somewhere today to enjoy this end of summer weather.

Also, I went to Target and bought my copy of The Governess Game: Girl Meets Duke because I am a big fan of Tessa Dare and I loved the first book in this series called The Duchess Deal. If you are looking for great regency romance with strong sassy heroines and humor in the plots, look no further than Tessa Dare. You can thank me later 🙂 I’m pretty sure I will read this in one sitting. I can’t wait.

The accidental governess

Binge Watching: 
I’ve been binge watching episodes of scary stuff based on real events like Evil Things  and A Haunting then I walk around my house afraid of my own shadow lol.

Crocheting:
I’ve been crocheting alot and I finished up a poncho which I really love. It’s still too warm out to wear but I have to take a pic of it finished. I used Loops & Threads chunky yarn and it is very cozy. It worked up pretty fast since the yarn is thick.

I am still plugging along on my corner to corner blanket. Corner to corner is a very cool technique which you can do so much with. I am about halfway finished with this. I want to make another one after, and showcase the technique differently with the colors, maybe make one side one color, then the other side another. I am still slowly but surely stocking up on my future etsy shop which I hope to open in a few more months. I won’t put pressure on myself with that, I’ve been using up the yarn I have already and taking it from there.

My son brought me that Niagara Falls mug from his recent road trip out there. He got some wonderful shots as well while out there of the beautiful Falls.
