The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog…
Happy Sunday everyone. Fall is definitely in the air around here and I am actually liking it. It has been nice and cool in the mornings and evenings. I haven’t been online too much these past few weeks, between work and just life in general blogging has taken the backseat again.
This is actually my second post for today, which I never post twice in one day but since I was at my computer this afternoon typing up a review, I thought I’d get my updates up too. Also, I hope everyone is staying safe with Hurricane Dorian making its rounds. That is so scary.
Onto my bookish updates….
Recently on the blog:
Today I posted my thoughts on Wake the Dead (The Journals of Octavia Hollows Book 1) by Stacey Rourke. This was a fun audio book.
I also recently shared my thoughts on a Dark Blossom by Neel Mullick.
Last week I listed books that are outside of my comfort zone.
up next is:
The Tower of Songs is up next on my review pile.
I don’t have a mailbox this week but I pre-ordered my copy of The Institute.
watching:
I’m having a Stephen King themed watching week, we saw IT Chapter 2 this weekend which was really fun. I like these new films over the early 1990’s mini-series version. Have you seen the IT films? What do you think? I love the casting in the new versions.
I recently binge watched 11/22/63 which is based on the Stephen King novel. I haven’t read the book yet but I really enjoyed the mini-series. It’s about the “what if” you could stop the JFK assassination.
I also watched The Hole in the Ground and I found it quiet and creepy. And I watched The Possession of Hannah Grace which was also really scary.
That covers my updates for now. What are you up to? If I don’t get my blog hopping in tonight I will be on again tomorrow, thank you for stopping in and for your thoughtful comments. Enjoy your week!
I’ll close with a picture I took on our road trip last weekend to a state park I like. The views are so great there.

I really want to see It but actually have to see the first part first! We watched Pet Sematary last weekend. Love those Stephen King films! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

I do hope we see cooler weather here soon. Now that darkness is falling sooner. My daughter is at a pool party this afternoon. I am enjoying some time by myself. I watched Sleepless in Seattle again. I haven’t seen it in years. I have never seen the IT movies. To be honest, I have never really wanted to. I know they are popular though. I hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy your reading!

I was a huge Stephen King fan when I was a teenager, but haven’t really kept up with his latest stuff. Hubby and I did watch 11/22/63 which we liked, and we’ve seen the reboot of It, but not the 2nd one yet. I have been meaning to watch Mr Mercedes too.
Have a great reading week

I really enjoyed 11/22/63 too. I haven’t seen Mr Mercedes yet. I tried to read the book twice and could not get into it. I may have to try again one day.
Enjoy your week too!

Oh oh, my SIL told me that when she gave birth a clown came to vist the next day since they always do that there, and I was all, NO! NO

I didn’t get to watch IT the first time (only the older version) so I doubt I’ll watch this latest one. Heck, I haven’t even read the book as I’m intimidated by the thick volume, haha. I’m curious of King’s upcoming book so I’ll look out for your review. Have a great week!
