Hello everyone. Poof! Just like that, September is just about over. Here comes October and for me, this is when I feel that Fall has really arrived. We have had some beautiful weather these past two weeks. It is still warm and it has been in the upper 80’s but in the mornings and in the evenings it cools down. And we’ve had nice breezy days, Fall is definitely in the air. I love the foliage colors this time of year as the leaves turn vibrant colors.
Onto my bookish updates….
Recently on the blog :
I posted my thoughts on…
Crochet in a Day: 42 Fast & Fun Projects by Salena Baca features some fun crochet projects.
Caught Up in a Cowboy by Jennie Marts which was nice contemporary romance and I am loving this cover.
The Tower of Songs (A Duck Darley Novel) by Casey Barrett was a good crime thriller with a twist.
Up Next:
This upcoming Thursday I am posting my thoughts on a children’s book called The Magical Sunglasses which is on virtual tour so please stop by for that. This is not my usual feature here but it is so cute and sends a nice message so I could not resist.

Another Christmasy read arrived via NetGalley. Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer. So cozy looking!
watching:
American Horror Story: 1984 and I am getting a kick out of the 1980’s summer camp horror theme. Is anyone watching this season?
That wraps up my updates for now. What are you up to? What are you reading?

The only way it feels like fall here is that the days are shorter. It’s still in the 90s with 70s at night. They’ve promised us some cooler weather this Saturday!
Let it Snow looks like a sweet holiday book. I hope it’s a good one.

It has also been warm here on Long Island. I would actually be happy if the warm weather would continue. As you are receiving Christmas books I am thinking that before we know it, the Christmas season will be upon us.

Tomorrow it should be in the 90’s here again but I don’t mind it either.
Christmas will be here fast! Enjoy your week.

Hi Naida,
The temperatures have just started to fall away over the past couple of days, so we spent today cleaning and packing away fans, ready for next year!
We managed to celebrate my great nephews 4th birthday last Saturday, with a party in the park and can’t believe how kind the weather was to us!
I have spent most of today frantically trying to catch up on outstanding emails, as a faulty laptop power supply
blew all the electric in the house several times before we could eliminate it down to an individual piece of equipment! Just managed to source a replacement power supply that has a good safety write-up, so I am now back in business after almost a week!
I am aiming to post a review of ‘False Step’ by Victoria Helen Stone this evening, then I need to catch up on a few regular meme posts, so wish me luck.
You have quite a diverse range of new books to feature, so I hope that you are enjoying ‘In At The Deep End’, which certainly sounds different 🙂

Hi Yvonne, glad you had a nice day at the park with good weather. That’s a cute age.
Ugh, computer issues are so annoying. Glad you got it straightened out and good luck catching up plus with blogging.
In At The Deep End is funny, I’m hoping to review it this week.
Have a great week ahead! 🙂

Update!!
Unfortunately a new power supply couldn’t really solve all the problems my laptop had succumbed to, so I arrived home tonight to find that hubbie has surprised me with a brand spanking new HP machine with a mega sized screen. Still trying to get used finding my way around it, especially the very compact keyboard, which is proving a bit of a tough nut to crack.! Love you Mr. G 🙂

I’ve been complaining about the 90s but it is true it gets into the 60-70s at night, cooler than the last 2 months. But I look forward to a bit more fallish weather. What a nice book haul! Enjoy your reads!

Our weather here has changed, too. Though we don’t get to experience Fall, this time is the monsoon season so we get lots of rain. At least it’s not so hot like usual. Enjoy your books, Naida!

September was super crazy at work, so I’m hoping we start slowing down a bit this month. I haven’t been watching much TV but this theme for American Horror Story sounds like it would be right up my alley. 🙂
