The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists….Hi all. I hope this post finds you doing well. I’ve been MIA from blogland for some time now. It’s the usual not enough hours in the day situation. I’m so happy that March is nearly over and Spring is around the corner and with it the warmer temps. I’m living in the wrong State because I am not a fan of winter and the cold months just drain me.
It’s been a busy few months, we just got back from our Florida vacation last week. We had a fantastic Disney vacation, visited 3 theme parks and enjoyed hot weather. It was 90 degrees the days we were in Universal Studios and Magic Kingdom. I had Butterbeer and visited Diagon Ally! Finally! On the day we spent at MGM Studios it was high 80’s and it randomly downpoured. Also, it seemed like barely anyone wears masks down there and the theme parks were crowded and it was shocking being around that many people again after social distancing and quarantining for so long. Masks at the airports are still mandatory so that was good. And we had a fantastic time, I already want to visit again. That Florida sunshine was good for my soul. The Disney resort we stood at was really beautiful. When we were done, I needed a vacation from my vacation. My health App showed we walked around 7-8 miles per day at each theme park. I’ll include pics at the end of this post.
Onto my updates….
I haven’t been reading too much lately, but hope to pick up the pace again. In the meantime, I’ve been reading The Stand by Stephen King at night before bed. This is the uncut version which adds about 400 pages to it I think.
Dust of Hope by Judy Croome I have a review set for March 22nd via Poetic Book Tours, please stop by then.
in my mailbox:
When I saw that the Grant Cottage was having a February book club read along of Grant and Sherman: The Friendship That Won the Civil War by Charles Bracelen Flood, in my mind I really believed I’d be able to read with them during February but that didn’t happen. So I have my copy and I can listen to the book discussions videos on Facebook at my own pace anyway.
Trigger Point by Tony Roth arrived via Meryl Moss Media for review.
After our Disney vacation I was inspired to crochet a Mickey Mouse. He’s in progress now so I’ll post finished pics next updates post.
The resort took us to and from Magic Kingdom by boat on their private lake which was awesome.
The parade at MGM.
This is from the Star Wars area at MGM Studios.
A rainy afternoon by the cabin.
Resort views. I miss the Florida warmth and that sunshine. I enjoy kayaking but no way was I going in after seeing these gator/snake warnings lol. I will pass on that please and thank you.
That wraps up my updates for now. Thank you for stopping in. What are you up to? I’ll be blog hopping this weekend to catch up. Stay well.
