The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists…
Another week has flown right by, I’m so glad March is more than halfway over with. I had a busy week so my blogging took the backburner. Last Sunday I volunteered my morning with work to pack meals for the hungry. There were hundreds of volunteers and we packaged thousands of meals to be shipped to Ukraine and Newark, NJ as well which felt awesome. We had snow mid-week and it didn’t stick so that was good.On Thursday I got my hair ends trimmed at the salon after work. I took Friday off to give myself a 3-day weekend so I spent most of Friday crocheting and watching movies.
Onto my bookish updates….
in my mailbox:
Nothing! But that’s good, I need to catch up on my current books.
recently on the blog:
Nothing! I’m hoping to blog more this upcoming week. I’ve been in a reading slump and reading in slow motion since last month.

The Last of Us season finale gutted me. I’m ready for season 2 please.
Since I was off on Friday I lounged around the house and re-watched Hostiles and Misery because there’s something comforting about re-watching favorites.
crochet:
I finished my hexagon cardigan, its super cozy. I’m already planning on making another one in blue and I need to choose alternating colors for it. I also made Otis a matching sweater since I had yarn leftover and he looks so cute in his. I still need to model my cardigan along with Otis.

This is how I get Otis to model for me, his tiny treats lol.

That wraps up my updates for now. How was your week?

Otis is looking adorable as always! I hope you enjoyed your 3 day weekend. That must have felt great to package up the food for those less fortunate

Otis is adorable and I love your matching sweaters. I’m ready for spring and gardens. I think after this week it will be more spring seasonal temps.

Keeping up with blogging AND reading AND other hobbies can definitely be a challenge – your sweater looks great (and Otis too). I’m about half way through a throw right now and it’s moving right along. I usually crochet when I watch TV so it doesn’t feel like quite as much a waste of time.
Have a terrific week.

Yes, keeping up with it all can be a challenge, even though it’s fun. I like to crochet while watching tv too but then I miss alot of the show if I’m not looking lol.

I completely agree – juggling blogging, reading, and other hobbies can sometimes feel like a balancing act! But I have to say, your sweater looks absolutely amazing (and Otis is a total cutie pie)! Crocheting is such a great way to unwind and pass the time, especially when accompanied by a good show or movie. I love how it can feel like you’re being productive even while relaxing. Keep up the great work on your throw – I’m sure it will be stunning once it’s complete! Wishing you a wonderful week as well.

What a beautiful cardigan and how cute that Otis is also going to be sporting a matching-look! So cool about your volunteer efforts too. I was off to a great reading start this month but have kind of fallen behind in the last week. I think I’m feeling a bit of spring fever! 🙂
