Happy Memorial Day. I haven’t done a Mailbox Monday post since last year? What?! It is a rainy Monday here and how nice to be at home relaxing enjoying an extra day off. I wish I could always have Mondays off from work, more reading and crocheting time. 🙂
Here are my latest book acquisitions…

I purchased an e-copy of A Night to Surrender (Spindle Cove 1) by Tessa Dare. I’ve read two books in this series and I enjoy this author’s work so I am looking forward to this one.

Spindle Cove is the destination of choice for certain types of well-bred young ladies: the bookish, the shy, the heartbroken or misunderstood. It’s a haven for young women who don’t quite fit in.

Victor Bramwell, the new Earl of Rycliff, knows he doesn’t belong here. So far as he can tell, there’s nothing in this village but spinsters and sheep. But he has orders to gather a militia. It’s a simple mission, made complicated by the spirited, exquisite Susanna Finch–a woman who is determined to save her ladies’ refuge from the invasion of Bram’s makeshift army.

The last thing either of them expects is a powerful attraction. Much less explosive passion…

Happiness is books in my mailbox and I have a very crafty mailbox to share this week. Aside from books in the mail, our elf on the shelf Noel showed up this week also. He has been hanging out around my book shelves.

Sunset in Central Park  by Sarah Morgan arrived via AmazonVine. This one caught my eye because it has two things I enjoy, romance and New York.

In the chaos of New York, true love can be hard to find, even when it’s been right under your nose all along…

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you are all doing well. We drove out to Upstate NY last week for some picture-taking, hence the photo above. It was a beautiful day and a great way to de-stress a bit after a crazy week. It was the perfect Fall day.

On a bookish note, I know that Thanksgiving hasn’t even arrived, yet I couldn’t help be in the Christmas spirit already. I just have one book to share this week:

Happy Monday. I just love this time of year, when the weather is getting cooler and the leaves are turning vibrant colors. It also makes for perfect cozy reading weather. Although, I have to mention I did shed tears last night over The Walking Dead. Not okay :*(  If you watched, what did you think about it?

Soooo onto my mailbox….

It felt a little like Christmas morning a few weeks ago when I received these, all courtesy of St. Martin’s Press:

Mondays are my least favorite day of the week except when there are books and a day off work involved. On a recent trip out to Barnes & Noble in search of a new Nook charger I came home with another copy of a favorite classic. I couldn’t resist. It was just so pretty.
