Happy Tuesday, a little bit early because I know tomorrow I probably will not get time to log onto my computer to post.
I figured I would just chat your eyes off about a few things this evening. Also, thank you all for wishing me well when I mentioned my mystery allergic reaction a few days ago. I saw the allergist today and she wants to see me in a few more weeks once the meds are fully out of my system so she can do some skin testing. It seems to be something I am touching rather than eating that is the culprit.

So, this is Otis after his visit to the groomer recently. He looks like he is smiling doesn’t he? He also came home scented like watermelon since the scent is part of the grooming service (as if he’s an air freshener lol). He’s a long haired chihuahua but I prefer to keep him trimmed during the warmer seasons.

On another note, I recently binged watched the first three seasons of Bates Motel on Netflix and have just been completely hooked. It is based on the original  Alfred Hitchcock movie “Psycho” and gives the backstory of Norman and his mother Norma.

Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope you are doing well and have been enjoying some good books.
I have just finished reading The Idea of Love by Patti Callahan Henry which was nice contemporary romance. I hope to have my review up soon.

I’ve also been busy crocheting and was lucky to get a review copy of Edward’s Menagerie – Birds: Over 40 Soft Toy Patterns for Crochet Birds . I will be including pics of my finished bird with my review.

I know I always say this, but where does the time go? August is here so soon it seems. That means that September is just around the corner, and along with that all the back to school run around that comes along with that time of the year.

I was on vacation for a few weeks which has been really nice. There is something to be said about not really sticking to the clock or to any schedule.
While at the lake a few weeks ago, I could not get enough of the sky and clouds and took my Canon with me pretty much everywhere I went. The images below are all unedited, you can click on them to get a larger view if you’d like.

Hubby is a good sport and woke up at 5:30am with me to take photos of the sun rising on the lake. I would tan and read sitting in those Adirondack chairs.

Here’s my randomness…

Several weeks ago I became somewhat Tudor obsessed as I binge watched the whole series on NetFlix during semester break. The show which follows King Henry VIII’s life from his first wife until his death, was very good. Although they did take some liberties with the timeline as far as deaths and whatnot I really enjoyed it. I snapped the picture above, and if you take a look, you might agree with me that Henry VIII did not look like the actor who plays him Jonathan Rhys Meyers. I didn’t mind and I think Rhys Meyers did a great job portraying the famous monarch. There is nothing wrong in making the king good looking for the show’s sake right?
There is just something fascinating about that era and the way these people lived. There was so much drama and so many hidden agendas at court it really is interesting to think about.
