Hello everyone. Happy Sunday Happy November. Happy reading.
I am sending my thoughts and prayers to the people in California with the major fires burning there now. It is so scary to see the news.

I went MIA for a little bit on blog land recently, because I was in Puerto Rico on vacation for one week. See the palm trees above? Yep. This past week was my first week back home and I am still kind of on vacation mode. Going to beautiful, sunny Puerto Rico was amazing. It is funny how I got used to the warm sunny temps (high 80’s) and going to the beach in October, meanwhile back home we had cold Fall temps and shorter days. We spent the days by the pool and the beach as well as sightseeing. We also visited some family.

Good morning everyone, October is in full blast around here and I’ve been enjoying the nice Fall days as much as I can. I have finally accepted the fact that summer is gone for now and cooler weather has arrived. I like all the pretty colors Autumn brings so it has been nice. I took the picture above yesterday while we were out walking.

On the Blog…

Happy Sunday everyone and Happy Fall. With the first day of Fall arriving here yesterday this weekend definitely has that sweater weather vibe to it. A big change from the upper 80’s from last weekend. I took the photo above one October a few years back. There is something to be said about the beautiful colors the Autumn season brings with it.

It has been a nice weekend at home watching movies and crocheting for the most part. I’ve been very lazy since Friday evening and I make zero apologies for it. I am feeling much better and kicked that head cold finally, it lingered for a little while there.

Also, thank you all for always stopping in and reading my posts and leaving thoughtful comments even when I am slow as ever returning visits and comments. I appreciate it.

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday. I’ve been a little bit MIA on blogland lately, I hope to catch up and do some blog visiting this week. I have missed you guys. I also need to catch up on my emails. I am kind of afraid to look, that’s how backed up I am on reading and replying.

This gif sums up these past two weeks for me:

It started with a nasty head cold last weekend that had me in bed home sick from work by Tuesday. I’m feeling better but still not 100%. Sitting in a very air-conditioned office all day does not help one’s cold at all. Plus yesterday I got stuck working a full day 9am-5pm overtime so that has me behind with errands etc. since Saturday’s are usually my day for that. Today is my one day off this week.

It has been so rainy here these few weeks but finally this weekend is gorgeous, sunny with the temps just right about high 70’s to 80 degrees. I haven’t decided what I will do today since it is so nice out, I may leave my grocery shopping for tomorrow after work and take a nice drive out somewhere today to enjoy this end of summer weather.

Onto my mailbox….

Look how fantastic! I love this colorful cover. The Vampire Knitting Club: A cozy paranormal mystery series arrived via Partners in Crime for a November 7th review and an author interview on the 9th as part of a virtual tour. See tour details here.

At a crossroads between a cringe-worthy past (Todd the Toad) and an uncertain future (she’s not exactly homeless, but it’s close), Lucy Swift travels to Oxford to visit her grandmother. With Gran’s undying love to count on and Cardinal Woolsey’s, Gran’s knitting shop, to keep her busy, Lucy can catch her breath and figure out what she’s going to do.

Except it turns out that Gran is the undying. Or at least, the undead. But there’s a death certificate. And a will, leaving the knitting shop to Lucy. And a lot of people going in and out who never use the door—including Gran, who is just as loving as ever, and prone to knitting sweaters at warp speed, late at night. What exactly is going on?…

September has arrived so fast it seems and I am not ready to say goodbye to summer yet. Labor Day is here in the U.S. already and it’s nice to have a long 3 day weekend. I really love lazy summer days and quiet summer evenings, I have more energy during this time of year. Well, it’s not quite over just yet so I will definitely be hanging onto summer as long as I can. I enjoy the Fall season too but there is something special about the summer months.

One thing I am dreading about September being here is my morning work commute on Tuesday since schools are back in so I’m back to my 45+ minute drive due to traffic jams. During the off school months it’s just a 20 minute drive. *sigh* I am going to have to start listening to audio books in my car in the mornings, I need to download the app and hook it up to my bluetooth.
