Good morning everyone. It’s a warm, cloudy Sunday here today.
I had a busy week but I finished reading Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances by Neil Gaiman. My review will be up soon.

I have a bit of a King and Jane Austen themed post today. I pre-ordered my copy of Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and his son Owen King this week.

Also, I received an ARC of Strange Weather: Four Short Novels by Stephen King’s other son, Joe Hill from Library Thing.

Happy Sunday everyone, September is here and I am ready for Autumn. It’s a rainy one in Jersey and I plan on reading and crocheting in between a few household chores today.

On a sad note, I can’t even look at the news anymore concerning the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey . Not that it should take a natural disaster to do it, but it really makes you stop and appreciate what you have and remember to live in the moment, because it can all be gone in an instant.

Crochet-wise, I went to the craft store last night and picked up two skeins of yarn for a hat and infinity scarf set. This sign says it all.

Happy Sunday everyone, I cannot believe we are nearing the end of August. I feel like the older I get, the faster time flies. I’m excited for the Fall though, it’s one of my favorite seasons. That’s Otis above after a recent trip to the groomers.

I haven’t been on blogland too much, the summer weather beckons and so did Sons of Anarchy for the past few weeks. I finished watching the series this week and I have to admit, I shed a few tears. This show has been the perfect remedy for long days at the office because when I get home I need to just not think anymore. Crunching numbers all day is exhausting. I’ve also been watching American Ripper on the History Channel. It’s very good. They are setting out to try and prove that H.H. Holmes a.k.a. America’s first serial and Jack the Ripper were actually the same person. It is an interesting theory. Speaking of H.H. Holmes, Netflix has a documentary on him that was worth the watch.

Reading-wise I don’t have much to share, I will be reviewing  Knight on the Texas Plains by Linda Broday soon. It was a sweet one. I still need to finish up two books, and did pick up OINTB last night again so I’m determined that will be this week’s read. I’m more than halfway through.

Happy Sunday all and Happy 4th of July weekend. Summer is in full swing here with high temps although we do still have alot of rain as well. I’ve been away from blogland for a few weeks due to the usual busy workdays, my family and now the summer weather beckons so I’ve been enjoying it as much as I can. The beach photos in this post are from our recent mini-vacation. That sunset stole my breath away the two nights we were away at the beach. It is nice to stop and just enjoy the beauty found in nature.

On a bookish note, I fully blame work on my lack of reading these last few weeks, sitting at the computer all day crunching numbers just leaves my eyes and my brain too tired to focus on reading when I get home. I did manage to read I Am Legend last week and it was a good one. I randomly picked it up off my shelves in an attempt to get back on reading track. Hopefully I can enjoy reading more when I’m on vacation this summer.

I want to read these books in July:
texas
Knight on the Texas Plains (Texas Heroes book 1) by Linda Broday is due for review on August 1st so I need to get to it. It looks good.

Happy Sunday, it is gorgeous here in Jersey this weekend. It feels like real June summertime these past few days with temps in the 90’s. I’ll enjoy it while it lasts because the forecast is saying rain for the end of this upcoming week and the entire next weekend. I figured I’d get my Sunday Post up early today before I head out to a yearly craft/arts/food outdoor festival that we like to visit.

It has been hectic at work so it was a slow reading week for me. I’m still reading An Almond for a Parrot, slowly though.
