Not So Wordless Wednesday

Don’t leave me, even for an hour, because
then the little drops of anguish will all run together,
the smoke that roams looking for a home will drift
into me, choking my lost heart….
-Pablo Neruda

I took this photo with my Canon Rebel recently. This was just after it had been raining for most of the morning. It turned out to be a gorgeous Fall day once the sun appeared.

Happy Thanksgiving and have a great rest of the week everyone! xo

Not So Wordless Wednesday

PROUD of my broken heart since thou didst break it,
Proud of the pain I did not feel till thee,
Proud of my night since thou with moons dost slake it,
Not to partake thy passion, my humility.
Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson is a favorite. I tend to read and re-read her poems. Something about them makes me want to sit and reflect.

On another note, I hope you are all enjoying your week. It is still hard to believe summer has come and gone but I am looking forward to the Fall, my favorite season.

Wordless Wednesday

Maybe January light will consume
My heart with its cruel
Ray, stealing my key to true calm.
-Pablo Neruda

I took the above photo this month after a snowstorm. I love how quiet and peaceful it was on that day.
The excerpt above is from a poem called I Do Not Love You Except Because I Love You by the incomparable Pablo Neruda. Read it in its entirety by clicking here.
